What is Revit mep documentation?
In AcePLP, our BIM modellers are equipped with the knowledge to generate different documentations, according to our clients’ standards, for submissions such as floor plans, section views and callout views. These drawings are generated directly from the 3D BIM models without repetitive work of drafting 2D drawings in CAD softwares such as AutoCAD. We are also experienced with creating legends and tags with various information such as marks, type marks, type name, occupancy, area, volume and sizes to be annotated on the drawing documentations automatically.
We are proficient with producing schedules to create reports for the quantities, materials, volume and cost of elements for our clients, which are known as Bill of Quantity (BOQ) or Bill of Material (BOM). Furthermore, we can create space tags to indicate the type of ventilation for each space in the BIM model and differentiate them by the colour schemes assigned by our clients for easy identification.
In Revit MEP documentation, we would be able to produce floor plan drawings of the placement of the various services such as mechanical equipment, electrical switches, distribution boards and many more. We would also be able to generate floor plans of the electrical routing, ducts routing and cable tray routings based on what was modelled in the BIM model. The software allows these 3D elements to be converted to lines when reflected in 2D drawings with some view settings applied to these elements.
